The Ocean County Department of Planning serves as staff to the Ocean County Planning Board. In addition to regular Planning Board responsibilities, the department is involved in a broad range of planning programs including Community and Economic Development, Long Range and Strategic Planning, Open Space Preservation, Environmental Programs, Transportation, Demographics, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
