The Spotted Lanternfly

September 29, 2020 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Originally from Asia, the spotted lanternfly (Lycorma deliculatais) is now a new resident in New Jersey. Introduced into Pennsylvania accidentally in 2014, this invasive critter has made its way through eastern PA and has now been found in certain parts of New Jersey, killing various species of trees and crops along the way. Join us for a discussion with Dr. Anne Neilson from Rutgers University to learn all about this new invasive insect, how it’s impacting New Jersey plant species, and what residents can do if they spot one.
