Teachers on the Estuary Workshop
August 16 - August 18
This year’s Teachers on the Estuary Workshop will be August 16th-18th, 2023. TOTE sessions and activities will be back to all in-person this year at the Jacques Cousteau NERR’s Coastal Education Center. Save the dates! Registration for TOTE will be launched in May via email.
The NERR’s Teachers on the Estuary workshops are hands-on, research and field based professional development workshops for educators. Want to learn more about TOTE? Check out NOAA’s Estuary Education’s website!
A Teachers on the Estuary (TOTE) workshop is a research and field-based training program held at various research reserve sites. TOTE workshops offer a minimum of 15 contact hours, giving teachers the opportunity to:
- Explore coastal habitats and conduct field investigations;
- Interact with local scientists and experienced coastal educators;
- Integrate local and national monitoring data into the classroom; and
- Learn hands-on field activities highlighting our various Estuary Education Resources
