“Greening Your Landscape While Protecting the Watershed” Rain Garden Workshop

Learn how to build rain gardens for your home or business, and how they help conserve water and improve water quality within the Metedeconk River and Barnegat Bay watersheds. The workshop will cover all the stages of building a rain garden. It will discuss the benefits of landscaping with native plants, and introduce the Jersey-Friendly Yards website which can help you design and choose the right plants for your rain garden. The workshop will include an interactive rain garden demonstration so you can see first-hand how these simple and effective landscaping additions are constructed.
