BBP Education & Outreach Retreat
April 13, 2018 @ 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
Registration is open for the 10th Annual Barnegat Bay Education and Outreach Retreat. Join us for a lively exchange of information and ideas, plus a tour of the Cedar Bonnet Island Restoration Project!
This year’s Retreat will be held at the Marine Academy of Technology and Environmental Science (MATES). As always, attendance is FREE! Lunch will not be provided, but we offer the option of pre-ordering a boxed lunch when you register (or feel free to bring your own). Lunch orders are due by April 4th, so please be sure to register by then if you’d like to order one.
The theme of this year’s retreat is “Research, Educate, Restore.” MATES students will fill us in on their exciting Barnegat Bay research and give us a tour of the MATES science facilities. We’ll also have a break-out session to get your feedback on actions and target audiences to include in the communication objectives of the “Comprehensive Conservation and Management Plan for Barnegat Bay” (CCMP), which is under revision. And last, but not least, we’ll head over by bus to Cedar Bonnet Island for a pre-opening tour of the restored habitat and new interpretive features.
