The Barnegat Bay Partnership is a partnership of federal, state, municipal, academic, business, and private organizations that work together with the communities of the Barnegat Bay watershed to help restore, protect, and enhance the water quality and natural resources of the Barnegat Bay and its watershed.

The Barnegat Bay Partnership is one of 28 National Estuary Programs in the United States, overseen by the US Environmental Protection Agency.

BBP is committed to identifying priority corrective actions and timelines addressing point and nonpoint source pollution to restore and maintain the chemical, physical and biological integrity of the estuary.
Our goals and ecosystem targets
The BBP and its partners developed an ecosystem-based management approach to manage the water quality, water supply, living resources, and land use in the estuary.
education & outreach
The BBP is dedicated to improving coordination among partner organizations to maintain two-way interaction with stakeholders and target audiences, including communities with environmental justice concern.

Steering Our Vision
The Barnegat Bay Partnership (BBP) is a partnership of federal, state, county, municipal, academic, business, non-profit, and private organizations working together to protect, restore, and enhance the natural resources of the Barnegat Bay ecosystem. Since 2003, the BBP and its staff have been administered through Ocean County College and supported with a grant award from the USEPA.
The BBP is administered as a department of Ocean County College, and currently has a 7-person staff (6 full-time, 1 part-time).
